Our contribution · UK & Europe

Helping shape
Europe’s AI future.

A strong European AI future needs practical innovation, human agency and the capability to govern the systems we depend on. We bring that conviction into our UK and European policy work.

Authentication & trust

Our consultation response addresses digital verification and delegated authority: how an AI system can act for a person without obscuring who gave permission or who remains accountable.

A user-appointed representative should have a clear mandate. Authority must be scoped, understandable and revocable; verification should disclose no more information than necessary.

Empowering people through data intermediaries

Our contribution argues for intermediaries that work in the interests of the people they represent, with meaningful control over access to personal data.

Who pays for a service should not silently determine whose interests it serves. Independent representation, clear incentives and accountable conduct belong at the heart of the relationship.

European policy perspective

Data sovereignty & choice

Our European policy work supports local processing, practical provider choice and stronger capability to build and govern trustworthy AI.

Sovereignty is about meaningful control: where sensitive information is processed, who can access it, and whether people and organisations can choose or change the systems they depend on.

Ideas into practice
